Will manage PVD coating line expansion projects from definition and planning phase to the execution and start-up of the new manufacturing cells. Will focus on industrial implementation, manufacturing operations, HSE, supply chain management and business/finance administration for the next generation of coating for architecture and automotive application using glass and polymers. Will lead the QC and R&D laboratories implementation for PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coatings homologation and product quality assurance.
Job Duties:
- Lead implementation of PVD coating line expansion projects at the Advanced Innovation and Manufacturing Center.
- Lead QC and R&D laboratories implementation for coatings homologation and product quality assurance.
- Responsible for supervising the correct execution of contractor's work, mainly related to Preventive and Corrective Maintenance, Calibration, inspections and other required services.
- Develop and execute data-based optimization projects and other continuous process improvements initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and drive innovation with a process approach.
- Responsible for Operations Department P&L Administration. Optimizing cost and resource allocation to increase profitability.
- Lead ERP implementation. Mapping processes and developing workflows for process standardization
- Supervise Statistical Process Control and generate reports using R and Tableau.
- Design and Develop dashboards to update and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to support informed decision-making.
- Responsible to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Leading safety initiatives, investigating incidents, and implementing corrective measures in alignment with OSHA and other local, state and federal requirements.
- Support production planning and execution follow up to ensure productivity and monitor capacity.
- Oversee SCM activities, managing procurement, inventory, logistics, and distribution for the AIM Center.
- Lead shopfloor team, ensuring their alignment with plant goals, developing accountability, and promoting a high-performance focus on problem solving and improve daily operations.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering with specialization in Manufacturing, Project Management, Business Analytics, or a related field plus 5 years' experience with PVD coating technologies implementation for glazing application.
Experience must include the following, which may have been gained concurrently:
- 5 years' experience in Operations and Project management, including the development and implementation of new manufacturing lines, research and development facilities, homologation labs and the expansion/optimization of existing machinery capabilities.
- 5 years' experience with PVD coating technologies implementation, including development and startup of sputtering coating lines.
- 5 years' experience working with high vacuum pump technologies. More specifically with positive displacement and kinetic vacuum pumps for gas transfer. (Screw pumps, root pumps and turbo molecular pumps)
- 5 years' experience working with DC Power Supplies for thin film manufacturing application. Especially bipolar sputtering and Arc Management Systems.
- 5 years' experience working and supervising different contractors, mainly related to Mechanical, Electrical, plumbing works for new Equipment Set up, Preventive and Corrective Maintenance, and Calibration.
- 5 years' experience utilizing project management and engineering software including MS Project, Smartsheet, Lucid, MindManager, Jira, AutoCAD, Solid Works and Sketchup to manage the development of new production and R&D facilities.
- 5 years' expertise utilizing and implementing ERPs like SAP, Oracle, Fishbowl and other open-sourced ones to manage and integrate core processes within the organization.
- 5 years' experience using R, Minitab, Tableau and Power BI, Power Automate for Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Dashboard generation.
- 5 years' experience managing the P&L Administration. Optimizing cost and resource allocation to increase profitability.
- 5 years' experience Leading safety initiatives, investigating incidents, and implementing corrective measures in alignment with OSHA and other entities.
- 5 years' experience implementing core tools in glass manufacturing process, including MSA, PFMEA, and DFMEA.
- 5 years' experience developing relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners, overseeing the NDA's and JDA's signing process.
